Since I am on the subject of Stroke, one of the best proactive measures we can pursue as senior citizens to keep strokes at bay are cardiovascular exercises done with moderation, less stress and most fun. Most of us know some of these exercises already. The idea is to maximize the benefits of these exercises by shooting for 80% of the maximum heart rate. In my case it would be 220-61(my age) = 159. 80% of 159 is roughly between 127-130 heart rate per minute. This would be a good starting point for me. In terms of length of exercise, try a starting duration of 30 minutes and progress that daily or at least 3 times per week. I do more than that since I have been indulging in these exercises for decades now. As well as some of you also.
